[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]If Barack Obama has made one thing clear during his presidency, it’s that he loathes the Constitution and will do anything he has to in order to go around it. His ultimate goal is to fundamentally transform America and if he has to use his pen and his phone to do so, then so be it.
[/vc_column_text][banner300 banner=”5517620b381df”][vc_column_text]He does not hide his disdain for the Constitution or the system of government as set up by our Founding Fathers. In fact, he has said in the past that the Constitution is a flawed document that doesn’t mandate or allow for the redistribution of wealth. He has also talked about how he is constrained by the system our Founders put in place. (But then again, that’s why he has his pen and his phone, right?) His tendency to attack and go around the very backbone of our society makes his latest statement, a direct attack on the First Amendment, even more frightening.
On Tuesday, Obama sat on a panel at Georgetown University to discuss poverty in America. During his remarks, Obama went on the attack against his favorite target, Fox News. But, he didn’t stop there. He used his criticism of Fox News to attack freedom of speech in America and said that such speech needs to be controlled.
Transcript Courtesy of The Daily Caller (emphasis mine):
I think the effort to suggest that the poor are sponges, leeches, don’t want to work, are lazy, are undeserving got traction. And look, it’s still being propagated.
I mean, I have to say that if you watch Fox News on a regular basis, it is a constant menu– they will find folks who make me mad. I don’t know where they find them. They’re all like, ‘I don’t want to work. I just want a free Obamaphone,’ or whatever.
And that becomes an entire narrative that gets worked up and very rarely do you hear an interview of a waitress, which is much more typical, who’s raising a couple of kids and doing everything right but still can’t pay the bills.
And so if we’re going to change how John Boehner and Mitch McConnell think, we’re going to have to change how our body politic thinks, which means we’re going to have to change how the media reports on these issues and how people’s impressions of what it’s like to struggle in this economy looks like and how budgets connect to that.
That’s a hard process because that requires a much broader conversation than typically we have on the nightly news.
[/vc_column_text][banner300 banner=”553157113d3ff”][vc_column_text]So, Hillary Clinton, the frontrunner to be the Democrat nominee for the presidency in 2016, believes that “deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs, and structural biases have to be changed” and Barack Obama, Democrat president, believes that “we’re going to have to change how the media reports on these issues”(i.e. poverty.)
One thing is clear about the Democrats. They loathe the First Amendment because it gets in the way of their twisted agenda. They also do not stand for the Constitution or the rights and freedoms that are actually guaranteed by it. Instead, they lie, and many Republicans, as they place their hand on the Bible and swear to uphold and defend the Constitution, knowing full well their intention is exactly the opposite.
WATCH Obama attack Fox News and the First Amendment.
