[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Like so many despots before him, President Obama favors unilateral rule and is highly critical of other branches of government that threaten his reign…
…At least, unless they agree with him.[/vc_column_text][banner300 banner=”5517620b381df”][vc_column_text]Obama has come out with strong criticism of the Supreme Court’s willingness to review the constitutionality of Obamacare subsidies and warned the highest court that ruling against the subsidies which keep his namesake law afloat would be a “twisted interpretation” of the law.
Obamacare, as passed and signed, only allows for federal subsidies for those who purchased insurance through state-run exchanges. However, 36 states have opted-out of state-run exchanges as the federal government’s healthcare.gov runs the healthcare exchanges. Several states initially tried to run their own exchanges, but after hundreds-of-millions of taxpayer dollars and colossal failures, states like Oregon and Hawaii have dumped their state-run efforts and opted for the federal system.
However, Obamacare’s language offered subsidies as an incentive for state-run exchanges and the Supreme Court has been tasked with deciding whether the federal government can also siphon-off subsidies for the federal exchange, despite the fact that the “settled law of the land” strictly forbids it.
The Supreme Court ruling is expected any day now.
In Germany, Obama spoke with reporters and blasted the Supreme Court’s willingness to even hear the case. “This should be an easy case. Frankly, it probably shouldn’t even have been taken up,” Obama said.[/vc_column_text][banner300 banner=”553157113d3ff”][vc_column_text]However, this isn’t the first time Obama has lashed out at the highest court. In April of 2012, as the Supreme Court was set to rule on the constitutionality of Obamacare, Obama disrespected the court as merely an “unelected group of people” who would be ruling upon his namesake legislation.
However, while Obama has been elected as president, it can safely be said that his tenure in office has been one of the most-lawless presidencies in U.S. history as he has exercised his will via executive fiat on many, many occasions, including authoring executive orders on Second Amendment restrictions, amnesty for illegals and adding to the federal register rules and regulations that were not passed by a legislative body, but conjured up by executive bureaucrats- or, “unelected groups of people.”
If the Supreme Court rules against the use of subsidies for federal exchanges, this might spell doom for the disastrous healthcare overhaul as the entirety of the socialized system relies upon these subsidies.
