[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Ever since Barack Obama emerged as a presidential candidate for the 2008 election, any criticism of him was off-limits. Questioning his background would lead you to be labeled a racist. Bringing up his father’s communist ties, the fact that Obama attended a Muslim school as a child living in Indonesia, or pointing out the fact that Barack and Michelle Obama attended an America-bashing church led by racist hater Jeremiah Wright would subject you to attack, ridicule and being labeled a bigot. But, when it comes to Republican candidates, the Democrat lap dog media go full speed ahead with criticism, lies, and ridicule of both the candidate and their family.[/vc_column_text][banner300 banner=”5517620b381df”][vc_column_text]Case in point is how Obama’s Lean Forward Network, the sycophants at MSNBC, turned one of their little watched shows into comedy hour with the butt of the joke being Republican Ted Cruz, the senator from Texas who was the first official candidate for the 2016 GOP presidential primary, and his father, Rafael Cruz.
While Obama’s father, Barack Obama, Sr., was a womanizing, communist, polygamist alcoholic, the leftstream media largely ignored those points. Obama was above criticism. His children were off limits, unless he wanted to use them as a political ploy. His radical pastor and racist church were off limits. After all, Obama wasn’t in attendance that day Jeremiah Wright, who Obama himself described as being like an uncle to him, gave the sermon declaring, “God damn America!” He was, for all intents and purposes, untouchable; a scenario that has continued throughout his presidency. After all, we couldn’t have anyone ruin the chance to ‘make history’ with Obama becoming president. The biracial man, described as black, was going to be the next president and the media did their part to make sure that happened.
Enter Ted Cruz, another biracial man who instead of being half black is half Hispanic, and the story and game by the media is completely different because he is a Republican and constitutionalist. His father is not a communist, but rather fought against communism. He is a pastor who raised his son to love America, respect the Constitution, and stand on principle based upon our constitutional guidelines. So, of course, Obama’s pals at MSNBC must figure they need to do anything and everything to discredit and destroy him, even if it is using Ted Cruz’s father as target practice.
After fellow Republican Rand Paul made his entry into the 2016 presidential race official, MSNBC’s Live with Thomas Roberts did a segment devoted to attacking the fathers of the two Republican presidential candidates. The segment, entitled “GOP Contenders with Father Issues” gives us insight into what to expect from the leftstream media during the next 17 months of campaigning.
Never mind that both Ron Paul and Rafael Cruz were devoted fathers who remained in their children’s lives and Barack Obama, Sr. was too busy chasing skirts to have any relationship with his son, the former congressman, Paul, and the pastor, Cruz, will be fair game for the leftstream media in an attempt to tear down their sons.
Newsbusters reported on the Republican father bashing that was on full display on MSNBC.
Having set a tone nowhere close to objectivity, Roberts jabbed Ted Cruz’s father, Rafael Cruz, asking how Ted Cruz will “break his father’s shadow or potential hindrance of saying something and really getting caught with having to explain it away.”
Joining with MSNBC on the GOP father ridicule and shaming was Aaron Blake from The Washington Post. Blake said, “Ron Paul says a lot of things that maybe unhelpful for Rand Paul. Rafael Cruz probably says even more unhelpful things. But I think, you know, by virtue of the fact that he hasn’t been really been in politics for many years like Ron Paul has or like the Bush family has, I’m not sure people are necessarily going to tune in too much to what Rafael Cruz says. I don’t know that Ted Cruz is necessarily going to invite his dad to the campaign trail…he’s certainly not a natural fit for being on the campaign trail.”
Roberts, in true sycophantic form, added, “I think reporters will — if he doesn’t show up on the campaign trail, they’re happy to go find Rafael Cruz, and take the cameras and microphones to him.”
This snide, disgusting exchange, and blatant attack against Republicans is typical of MSNBC. Given their abysmal ratings, it looks like they have chosen snarky progressive partisanship over viewership. Their downward spiral continues.
