Obama’s Earnest: We are Winning the ‘Narrative Battle’ That ISIS Represents Islam

As the NYPD search for Afghani-born foreign national Ahmad Khan Rahami, a religion of peace member believed by authorities to be connected to the bombings in New York and New Jersey over the weekend, Obama Regime press secretary Josh Earnest appeared on CNN’s New Day to explain to the nation that we are in a war of words with “ISIL” (the Obama Regime’s term for what everyone else on the planet refers to as “ISIS”), a “narrative war” and that the Obama Regime has “made progress in debunking the mythology” that the Islamic terrorist organization “is representing Islam.”

“When it comes to ISIL, we are in a fight, a narrative fight with them, a narrative battle, and what ISIL wants to do is they want to project that they are an organization that is representing Islam in a fight and a war against the West, and a war against the United States,” Josh Earnest told CNN’s Chris Cuomo on Monday morning. “That is a bankrupt, false narrative. It’s a mythology, and we have made progress in debunking that mythology.”

Earnest again warned Americans, in light of the new terrorist attacks over the weekend, all by Muslims as is almost all terrorism on the planet, that the religion of Obama’s youth, Islam, must not be tied to the terrorism, even though the Koran teaches violence as a method to convert and/or murder the “infidels.”

“We can’t play into this narrative that somehow the United States or the West is fighting against the Muslim religion,” Earnest argued. “The fact is there are millions of patriotic Muslims in this country right now that make our country proud. They serve in our armed services. They serve in our law enforcement. They are our doctors, They are our teachers. They are lawyers. They are nurses. These are individuals who make a substantial and positive contribution to our country, and that is an inconvenient fact for the ISIL narrative.”

And, Mr. Earnest, unfortunately, some of them are terrorists as we sadly learn again as New York, New Jersey, and Minnesota were rocked by terrorist attacks over the weekend. And I’m sure it’s just a coincidence that the terrorists involved are Muslims.

The politically correct false narrative being pushed is the one — a deadly one — that Islam has nothing to do with terrorism, a “mythology” pushed by a regime led by a man who was raised as a Muslim and whose judgment is therefore tainted from objectively assessing reality.

Political correctness kills.
