The IBD/TIPP Poll has an excellent track record for accuracy, as far as polls go. In the past three presidential races it was right as the top in the accuracy department:
The IBD/TIPP Poll has a proven track record for accuracy, based on its performance in the past three presidential elections. In a comparison of the final results of various pollsters for the 2004 and 2008 elections, IBD/TIPP was the most accurate. And the New York Times concluded that IBD/TIPP was the most accurate among 23 polls over the three weeks leading up to the 2012 election.
Billionaire and reality TV star Donald Trump has been leading nearly every national poll since July, and usually by significant margins, a fact he has not hesitated to remind us of in nearly every media appearance and campaign speech.
Well, “The Donald” may have to leave that portion of his schtick out at his next appearance, because there’s a new leader, at least according to this respected poll.
The new October IBD/TIPP Poll, taken from 9/26 – 10/1, with a margin of error of plus or minus 5%, shows that political newcomer, famed retired pediatric neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson, is not only pulling ahead of Trump, but doing so by a significant margin that falls outside the margin of error.
Dr. Carson leads the bombastic real estate magnate 24% – 17% among Republican and Republican-leaning registered voters, with Florida Senator Marco Rubio moving up into third place at 11%, followed by businesswoman Carly Fiorina at 9%.
Big-moneyed establishment RINO Jeb Bush, came in fifth at 8%, while Texas Senator Ted Cruz, a constitutional conservative, rounded out the top six at 6%.

Granted, this is only one poll, and the first primaries are still months away. However, other recent polls clearly showed that the gap was closing quickly between Trump and Carson. It should be noted that Dr. Carson’s commenting that he a Muslim, who puts Sharia Law over the U.S. Constitution, should not be a U.S. president, a statement the leftstream media has tried to bury him with, insinuating that the comment should paint him as a bigot, has actually seemed to help Carson’s undeniable surge.
It should also be noted that anti-Washington establishment candidates continue to dominate the top-tier candidates. Last month, both successful Republican governors Rick Perry and Scott Walker, both dropped out of the race, slightly reducing the still crowded GOP field to 15 candidates, some of which received too few votes to even be mentioned in the IBD poll, meaning they were at less than 2% support.
Like Trump and Ted Cruz, and to some degree Fiorina, Dr. Carson has not been afraid to take on the left’s false god of political correctness. Carson blew up Facebook on Friday with a meme declaring #IAmChristian, a show of support following the Umpqua Community College shootings, where a God-hating madman shot and killed multiple students who professed their faith in Jesus Christ.
Carson also proclaimed during the week that a “Hitler” could absolutely happen in America if people continue to allow their free speech to be squelched by political correctness.
