OOPS! Can Hillary Not Spell Her Own Name?

Donald Trump is typically the one up late at night, tweeting misspelled words like judgment, which he seems to always spell judgement. No big deal, right? Presidential or vice presidential candidates don’t have to necessarily be spelling whizzes, unless their name happens to be Dan Quayle.

In 1992, Quayle, George H. W. Bush’s running mate, misspelled “potato,” adding an ‘e’ to the end and the media treated it like he’d just blamed a YouTube video for the death of four Americans in Benghazi, Libya or something.

Quayle was forever labeled at a dunce and even though he was only in his early 40’s, the rising Republican star was never taken seriously after that. His political career was ruined.

Which leads us to Thursday, when this tweet came across Hillary Clinton’s official twitter account. As you can see, it appears as though the scandal-plagued former Obama secretary of state can’t even spell her own name because she spelled Hillary with one “L.”

Hillary Tweet Misspelled Name

The campaign apparently caught the error, because the tweet came down, so it’s really not a major deal. In fact, other messages were tweeted Thursday afternoon indicating that both Hillary, and her campaign, know how to spell her name.

So all is forgiven, unless of course, your name is Dan Quayle.
