Establishment RINO squish Bob Dole has never been a fan of conservatives. In fact, Dole, a “Rockefeller Republican,” has fought conservatives his entire career, including undermining Ronald Reagan’s conservative policies during the Reagan years.
The 92-year-old Dole is still fighting for big government and the entrenched political ruling class telling the New York Times that the Republican Party would suffer “cataclysmic” and “wholesale losses” if Ted Cruz was the GOP nominee.
Bob Dole hasn’t changed much.
“I question his allegiance to the party,” the big government Republican told The Times, acting more like a USSR party chief rather than someone who is concerned with upholding the U.S. Constitution.
The butthurt old codger has a real problem with Ted Cruz calling himself a “conservative” rather than the party’s failed brand name, “Republican.”
“I don’t know how often you’ve heard him say the word ‘Republican,'” Dole said. “Not very often. Instead, Mr. Cruz uses the word “conservative,” he continued.
As alluded to previously, Bob Dole hated Ronald Reagan and the entire GOP establishment said the greatest president of our lifetimes was “unelectable.”
The 1996 presidential candidate, who apparently was “electable” even though he got crushed by corrupt serial woman abuser Bill Clinton, slammed Reagan in a similar manner to the way he’s currently slamming Ted Cruz.
According to a June 1, 1996 article of The Economist, Dole made some pretty nasty remarks about the great communicator in the past:
Some time ago, before Bob Dole turned 70 years old, he described Ronald Reagan as “a befuddled septuagenarian.” Some time ago, before Mr Dole started to rely on teleprompters, he called Mr Reagan “a programmed line-reader.” And, right after Mr Reagan won a landslide victory in 1984 by issuing vague promises of tax reform, Mr Dole addressed a Florida crowd. “I’ve just obtained a copy of President Reagan’s secret tax plan,” he announced, holding up a blank sheet of paper.
Dole, who late last year endorsed fellow RINO Jeb Bush, had much kinder and gentler words for “outsider” and current Republican frontrunner Donald Trump, whom he believes would make deals with the Democrats just like John Boehner and Mitch McConnell have infamously done.
Dole said Trump would “probably work with Congress, because he’s — you know — he’s got the right personality and he’s kind of a dealmaker.”
Dole has been spewing hate Cruz’s way ever since Cruz continued to hammer the GOP establishment for trotting out a conga line of RINO losers, like Romney, McCain, Dole, and even Gerald Ford (who was not elected and lost to Jimmy Carter) as examples of candidates were guaranteed to be most “electable.”
Of course, non-establishment, conservative candidate Reagan was the one candidate who crushed Democrats twice.
But Bob Dole still hasn’t learned much.
