Proof that George Soros is Behind the Effort to Oust Sheriff Joe Arpaio

Sheriff Joe Arpaio is facing the toughest reelection bid of his career, and it looks like big money outsiders, led by George Soros, are behind the effort to oust him from office.

Arpaio is in a contentious race against Soros-supported Paul Penzone who seeks to replace Arpaio as sheriff of Maricopa County. The group Maricopa Strong has led the efforts to get Sheriff Joe out of office but it turns out there is very little “Maricopa” about the group. Of the $2.9 million that has been spent in the race against Arpaio, $2 million has come from Soros with the bulk of the rest covered by others who do not live in Arizona.

Politico gives the breakdown of who is assisting Soros in attempting to replace Arpaio with Penzone who Soros obviously believes could be more of a puppet for his quest  at immigration and criminal justice reform.

The Soros-funded PAC, Maricopa Strong, will file campaign finance documents Friday showing Soros’ multimillion dollar investment against Arpaio, along with $500,000 from Texas energy billionaires Laura and John Arnold and $250,000 from Laurene Powell Jobs (widow of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs). The group had previously reported a $300,000 donation from Soros, one of the Democratic Party’s biggest donors.

What was it that Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama were again about “dark money influencing elections?” Obviously, they don’t have a problem with a need for “campaign finance reform” as long as those infusing big money into elections are on their side to fundamentally transform America into a place never envisioned by our founding fathers.
