Rep. Steve King to Send a Loud Message to Obama and Planned Butcherhood at SOTU

Barack Obama has announced that in addition to the former illegal alien foreign invader and the Syrian refugee who will be at the State of the Union as his special guests, he is also leaving an open seat to honor the memories of all those lost to ‘gun violence.’ That empty seat could be seen as representative of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry who was killed by illegals with guns acquired from Obama’s gun-running operation, Fast and Furious. But, that’s one death that Obama does not like to discuss since Terry would be alive today were it not for him.

Rep. Steve King (R-IA), who has endorsed Texas Senator Ted Cruz for the GOP presidential nomination, has a tremendous response to this political move by Obama, meant to push his gun control agenda. This move also exposes Obama’s crocodile tears cried at his gun control plan announcement as being highly disingenuous.

In a press release, King announced that he will not be attending the State of the Union and will instead be in a chapel praying. Both his seat and the additional seat he received when he requested an additional ticket will remain empty. The two moves are linked by the fact that his chair will remain empty in memory of the 55 million innocent unborn babies that have been murdered at the hands of the baby body parts and Democrat slush fund chop shop, Planned Parenthood. He will be praying for all those lives, lives that Obama has never cried over, in the chapel at that time.

Beyond announcing his plan to leave these two seats empty, King excoriated Obama for actively working to increase abortions, the murder of innocent children in the womb, worldwide nearly immediately after he was sworn in as president in 2008.

“President Obama’s first official act, immediately upon his inauguration was to sign an executive order to accelerate abortions world-wide,”said King. “The first tears we have seen him shed in seven years were for the victims of the tragic Sandy Hook School shooting. As far as we know, Obama has never shed a single tear for even one of the more than 9 million babies aborted under his watch. He is the most pro-abortion president ever.

Now he has reserved an empty seat next to the First Lady to commemorate ‘the victims of gun violence who no longer have a voice’. The San Bernardino victims’ body temperatures had declined only from 98.6 to 93 degrees F when Obama twisted the ‘Allah Akbar’ screaming bloodlust into an anti-gun, anti-Second Amendment tirade. I am sickened by the acts of war twisted into ‘workplace violence’ and by a president who would veto the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, H.R. 3504 that would protect the lives, at least of those who survived the attempt on their lives, by abortionists.

There will be another empty seat in the gallery during Obama’s last State of the Union address. I have reserved it to commemorate the lives of more than 55 million aborted babies, ‘the chorus of voices that have never been heard in this world but are heard beautifully and clearly in the next world.’ My seat on the floor of Congress will also be empty. I will be in the Member’s chapel praying for God to raise up a leader whom he will use to restore the Soul of America.”
