Facebook has a real PR crisis on their hands. While censoring conservative voices is not an illegal practice (unless they committed fraud by censoring conservative advertisers), it is a huge violation of consumer trust.
Online consumers are largely at the mercy of big, largely liberal companies. We rely upon them to play it straight, but have few ways of knowing whether these companies are being fair or honest.
One such company is Google- a company that makes damn fine products and leads the world in tech innovation. From browsers to search engines to advertising, Google has a hand in pretty much all things online.
However, according to a recent analysis by Source Fed, Google may be manipulating search results that are related to Hillary Clinton.
That is, they are promoting benign or positive searches related to Clinton at a time when Americans are considering whether she has committed serious felonies that might dismiss her from the presidential race.
The below video points-out that Google recommendations do not follow the same pattern as other search engines. Typing in “Hillary Clinton cri,” for example, yields suggestions related to a crime bill and other benign topics.
However, it does not offer a suggestion for “Hillary Clinton crimes” or anything related to the criminal investigation currently underway to assess the criminality of Clinton’s transmission of thousands of classified and top-secret documents over an unsecured server in violation of federal law.
When this same experiment is attempted on Yahoo or Bing, Clinton’s criminal investigation is brought-up immediately.
Further, when analyzing the trends on Google that might prompt “Hillary Clinton crime bill,” the results indicate that such a search has been attempted so few times that Google is unable to craft a graph- meaning it’s seldom, if ever, Googled.
So, the question remains: why is Google offering recommendations about a non-topic but not offering recommendations about a very-serious and important topic like Clinton’s criminal actions?
Google has long been committed to leftist politics. Their ad policies are custom-tailored to negatively affect conservative outlets and they are prone to honoring terrorists and far-left communists while seldom paying tribute to American values like Memorial Day.
The below video offers a detailed analysis of Google’s evident manipulation and isolates variables that might have an effect on the results. It encounters the evidence in a seemingly fair-minded way and conducts experiments with the algorithms to try and discover alternative explanations. It also offers background on the corporate philosophy of Google and the role it plays in politics.
Check it out and decide for yourself. Is Google manipulating what you see?
