Ted Cruz to Receive a Key Senate Endorsement, and It’s a Big One

Donald Trump and the Republican establishment that he has funded and supported through the years are about to lose a major narrative that they have used to disparage and attack Texas senator and constitutional conservative Ted Cruz as he seeks the GOP nomination for the presidency.

As Cruz has risen in the polls, Trump has gone from referring to the Texas Senator as his friend to calling him a “nasty guy” and “Lying Ted,” a nickname that has not stuck, despite the bloviating billionaire’s best efforts. He also continuously has said that Cruz is not liked in the Senate and has no real friends there. As evidence, he pointed to the fact that not one Senator has endorsed Cruz’s campaign though he has secured the endorsement of a number of representatives in the House. But that narrative is about to end as reports are circulating that Cruz will receive his first Senate endorsement on Thursday.

Utah Senator Mike Lee has arguably been Cruz’s closest ally in the Senate. Cruz has referred to Lee as someone he loves like a brother, so many thought it odd in South Carolina when Lee campaigned with both Cruz and Florida Senator Marco Rubio , who Lee also considers a friend. .

Lee, a constitutional lawyer and Tea Party favorite, will officially weigh in on the presidential race with an endorsement of Ted Cruz. According to The Blaze, the Cruz campaign announced that they will have “a major endorsement” in Coral Gables, Florida.

On Wednesday, Texas Senator and constitutional conservative Ted Cruz was endorsed by conservative talk radio legend Mark Levin. In his endorsement, announced on his new show on LevinTV, he praised Cruz for his staunch commitment to the Constitution.

“I support Ted Cruz for the president of the United States because I believe everything I’ve just discussed with you he appreciates, he embraces, he understands, and he has fought for throughout his life, too,” Levin said. “That is the Constitution, the Republic, individual sovereignty, separation of powers, the Bill of Rights, family, faith, a secure border, our national security.”

Cruz also announced the endorsement of former GOP presidential candidate Carly Fiorina at a rally in Florida on Wednesday. Fiorina said for the next few months she will be doing everything in her power to ensure that Ted Cruz not only wins the nomination but also the presidency.

In a statement released by the Cruz Campaign, Fiorina offered praise for Ted Cruz’s career-long record as a fearless fighter for our constitutional.

“Ted Cruz is a fearless fighter for our constitutional rights. He has spent his life protecting Americans’ God-given liberties, and he has always stood by his word. Unlike the status-quo political class in D.C., Ted Cruz didn’t cower when he got to Washington – he stood unequivocally for the American people. I know Ted, and he’ll do the same as president.”
