Leading evangelist Franklin Graham is asking Christians across America to send retail chain Target a strong message after the company’s latest bow to the god’s of political correctness, an ill-conceived move that will no doubt have the effect of further degrading American culture.
On Friday, Target, one of the nation’s largest retail chains, announced that they were caving in to the gaystapo bullies and would begin the anti-family move of removing gender-based labeling and signage from its stores, the company announced in an official statement:
Historically, guests have told us that sometimes—for example, when shopping for someone they don’t know well—signs that sort by brand, age or gender help them get ideas and find things faster. But we know that shopping preferences and needs change and, as guests have pointed out, in some departments like Toys, Home or Entertainment, suggesting products by gender is unnecessary.
We heard you, and we agree. Right now, our teams are working across the store to identify areas where we can phase out gender-based signage to help strike a better balance. For example, in the kids’ Bedding area, signs will no longer feature suggestions for boys or girls, just kids. In the Toys aisles, we’ll also remove reference to gender, including the use of pink, blue, yellow or green paper on the back walls of our shelves. You’ll see these changes start to happen over the next few months.
In other words. no more “Boys” or “Girls.” We’re all transgender now!
Reverend Graham called for a boycott of Target on Tuesday morning for the company’s latest move in a series of anti-family actions, making the announcement on his Facebook page which is liked by 2.2 million people, giving out the company phone number and using the hashtag #OffTarget:
Target has long been an easy target (pardon the pun) of a tiny but loud fringe leftists groups that are scheming to destroy the family in America. As they did on the redefining marriage to something other than being between one man and won woman, Target always caves in to the vile progressive left.
Shareholders should be outraged by the untold millions of dollars that are going to be wasted by Target’s latest politically correct move. The fact that transgenders make up 0.3% of the population indicates that Target has a leftist political agenda and cares not what their broader customer base thinks. Even according to transgender statistics, it is not statistically possible for Target to have received an outcry from enough customers to warrant such a move by the company.
One can only wonder if Target’s next move will be to remove the “Men’s” and “Women’s” signs above their restroom doors.
