Early Sunday morning, at approximately 2 am, Omar Mateen, a registered Democrat and a Muslim, entered the homosexual Pulse nightclub in Orlando and began his act of terrorism in the name of Allah. Mateen not only pledged allegiance to ISIS prior to his attack, he also shouted “Allahu Akbar” as he shot and killed 50 people in the club and wounded 53 more.
Despite the overwhelming evidence that Mateen was a Muslim terrorist who made the decision to attack America on her soil and specifically targeted homosexuals, the very people who ISIS in other countries have thrown off of buildings, Obama and the Left are using this horrible event to attack the Second Amendment and blame Christians and the NRA while simultaneously saying we can’t blame all Muslims for the actions of Mateen.
The hypocrisy is not only ludicrous, it is dangerous.
Though we knew at that time the connections that Mateen had to ISIS, his radical Islamic beliefs, the yelling of Allahu Akbar, that the FBI had investigated him twice but did nothing, and that he passed federal background checks for not only a security license but also a concealed carry permit, Obama still turned the situation into an attack on law-abiding gun owners and the Second Amendment. The media has been complicit in twisting the narrative by referring to Omar Mateen as a gunman instead of a terrorist and his actions as a “mass shooting” instead of a terrorist attack in the name of Allah.
The failure of Barack Obama to even utter the words radical Islamic terrorism is a denial that puts this country in danger. Couple that with the refusal of the Left secure the border and to place blame for terrorism on the Muslims who are committing it and you have a perfect storm that puts America in harms way.
Rev. Franklin Graham could not stay silent after Obama gave a speech addressing the terrorist attack in Orlando. He laid into him in a powerful post on Facebook Monday morning.
I appreciate President Barack Obama speaking to the nation yesterday in the wake of the Orlando massacre. He was right in saying that this tragic shooting was an act of terror and hate. But why didn’t he say it was an act of radical Islamic terrorism? Mr. President, with all due respect, don’t forget Fort Hood; don’t forget the Boston Marathon; don’t forget San Bernardino; and don’t forget 9/11. What do they all have in common? They were all Islamic terrorists carrying out their treachery in the name of their religion. Mr. President, your administration has cut our military to the bone and some experts say we’re the weakest we have been in modern times. It’s time we were rebuilding our military force worldwide to take on this enemy. It’s time we tighten America’s borders until we can clearly vet those we’re letting into the country. Mr. President, how many more American lives have to be lost before you understand the threat radical Islam is to every freedom-loving person?
Well said, Rev. Graham. Well said.
