Rumored Trump VP Pick Just Left the Trump Train; Here’s Why [VIDEO]

Former Republican congressman Joe Scarborough, host of MSNBC’s Morning Joe has been widely rumored to be a potential V.P. pick should bloviating billionaire and reality TV actor Donald Trump win the GOP nomination.

Scarborough’s coverage of Trump has been so favorable — further adding to the rumor — that Trump was recently caught on hot mic thanking him and co-host Mika Brzezinski for making him look like a “legendary figure.

Well, Joe Scarborough has officially left the so-called “Trump Train,” and in doing so is saying that Donald Trump’s refusal to disavow former KKK Grand Wizard David Duke on State of the Union with CNN’s Jake Tapper on Sunday is the final straw.

During the interview on CNN, Trump not only refused to denounce Duke’s support of his campaign but lied that he didn’t even know who he was — a contradiction of earlier statements to the contrary which indicate very clearly that Trump knew exactly who David Duke is.

“Well, just so you understand, I don’t know anything about David Duke, OK?” Trump told CNN’s Jake Tapper on Sunday. “I don’t know anything about what you’re even talking about with white supremacy or white supremacists… Honestly, I don’t know David Duke. I don’t believe I’ve ever met him—I’m pretty sure I didn’t meet him—and I just don’t know anything about him,” Trump argued.

“That’s disqualifying right there,” a shocked and disgusted Joe Scarborough said after watching a clip from the Trump CNN interview with Tapper. “It’s breathtaking. That is disqualifying right there,” he opined.

“To say you don’t know about the Ku Klux Klan? To say you don’t know about David Duke? And the most stunning thing, Willie Geist [a guest on the show] is, this isn’t buying him a single vote.” “Is he really so stupid that he thinks southerners aren’t offended by the Ku Klux Klan and David Duke?” Scarborough asked rhetorically.

“Is he really so ignorant of southern voters that he thinks this is the way to their heart — to go neutral, to go Switzerland — when you’re talking about the Klan?!” Scarborough asked.

Looks like Scarborough is off the ticket.
