Sean Hannity is Taking Extraordinary Measures to Make Sure Trump Picks Newt

Sean Hannity Newt Gingrich

Trumplicker Sean Hannity really wants Newt Gingrich to be Trump’s running mate, assuming the liberal New York real estate tycoon isn’t bounced at the upcoming Republican Party Convention.

I mean Hannity really wants Gingrich and here’s how badly he wants old Newt.

According to a new report by CNN, Hannity actually flew Gingrich to Indiana on Wednesday, the same day that Trump was also meeting with potential running mate Mike Pence.

Newt Gingrich, a finalist on Donald Trump’s vice presidential shortlist, flew to Indianapolis to meet with Trump on a private jet provided by Fox News host Sean Hannity, two sources with knowledge of the situation told CNN.

The Fox News host flew the former House speaker to Indianapolis early Wednesday morning to meet with the presumptive Republican nominee as he holds late-stage meetings with his VP finalists, the sources said.

Both Hannity and a Fox News spokesperson replied to initial inquiries regarding the flight, but did not respond when asked if Hannity had paid for or arranged the flight. Gingrich did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

It isn’t known if Sean Hannity paying for Gingrich’s campaign will be considered an “in-kind contribution” to the Trump campaign.
