53 years ago, James Meredith successfully broke the ancient tradition of segregation in the South by enrolling for classes at the University of Mississippi. He faced hardships, taunts, and violence. Today, all schools are integrated, but segregation is making a comeback and not from angry white supremacists, but from black supremacists who are now segregating whites.
Protesters at the University of Missouri (also known as Mizzou) have dominated the news in recent days as black students have aligned with the opportunistic Black Lives Matter “movement” and guilty white liberals who have bought-into the “white privilege” narrative pushed upon them in academia.
The situation spiraled out of control after a student alleged that he heard a racial slur off campus and since then, members of the football team went on strike and protests have raged as black students have asserted that they are targets of racism.
The protesters have had a love/hate relationship with those who can help them by asserting that police are racists, but also asserting that any who witness “hurtful speech” should call the police- the very police smeared as racists.
These protesters have also relied upon the liberal mainstream media to dutifully carry their message to the masses, but have also set up a “media-free” zone where students may organize their propaganda efforts without media around.
Now, the collective effort of black supremacists has morphed into full-blown segregationists as whites have been forced to vacate areas where blacks meet so as to form a “black-only healing space.”
Protesters assembled in a meeting hall to discuss events after a planned march was canceled due to bad weather. Then, whites were ordered out of the room so blacks could discuss the situation in a “black-only healing space.”
Somehow, the obvious racism behind this gesture escaped protest organizers.
The segregationist efforts were confirmed by local reporter Jared Koller for KOMU-TV News and Johnetta Elzie, a national Black Lives Matter activist who makes a living exploiting racial strife throughout the country.
It has become painfully clear that the same breed of virulent racism that infected America for far too long is alive and well and resides within the radical left who play the part of the oppressors while claiming the role of the victims.
Those who championed human rights of yesteryear would be ashamed to see what has become of their cause- people like Martin Luther King, Jr. who hoped to one day see all men as equal and to have their existence judged not by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.
