Senator Moonlights as Uber Driver

Conservative Senator Benjamin Sasse , a champion of free markets, is using the free enterprise system to make sure he stays in touch with his constituents. The first-term Nebraska senator, a former president of Midland University in Fremont, Nebraska, has been moonlighting as a Uber driver.

On Sunday, Ben Sasse confirmed on Twitter that his new gig is, in fact, true and that he’s donating the money earned for his labor to charity.

Even CNN’s Jake Tapper was shocked at the news:

A little bit different than Harry Reid sitting on his perch in his Ritz-Carlton in Washington, D.C., isn’t it? I couldn’t imagine an elitist like Reid and his DC ilk driving Uber, could you?
