Polls Predicted Third-Place Finish for Ted Cruz in OK; Wins by Wide Margin Instead!

Constitutional conservative Ted Cruz outperformed polls by a massive 14-points in the State of Oklahoma in the GOP primary on Super Tuesday, pulling off an unexpected victory over bloviating billionaire and reality TV actor Donald Trump.

Trump, who was widely expected to run the table on Super Tuesday, with the exception of Texas, which Cruz also won, received a surprise with Cruz defeating the real estate mogul 34.4% to 28.5%, with 96.9% reporting.

Marco Rubio came in third place at 25.8%, a strong showing, while Ben Carson and John Kasich placed far behind at 6.2% and 3.6%, respectively.

Real Clear Politics polling averages, a compilation of various recent polls, had Trump winning the race 32.7%, with Marco Rubio coming in second place at 21.3%. Unbelievably, Ted Cruz was predicted to come in third place at 20.3%.
