Whether you are mentally ill or just a good ol’ fashioned pervert, Washington State has you covered! Thanks to new regulations that were quietly implemented after Christmas Day, Washington now considers it illegal for a business owner to keep men out of the women’s restroom and vice-versa.
Undoubtedly, the perverts of the Northwest are delighted by the news that they now get to share changing rooms with women. The mentally ill who believe themselves to be a different gender, of course, are likely thrilled that their delusions are being validated on a governmental and societal level.
The regulations, adopted by the state’s Human Rights Commission, make it illegal to keep people from using their preferred bathrooms, showers or locker rooms. The rules affect companies with eight or more employees and outlines that schools should “allow students to use the restroom that is consistent with their gender identity” and give transgender students “access to the locker room that corresponds to their gender identity.”
“To my knowledge, this is the first time in the country that there’s been a statewide effort to mandate all public accommodations cooperate with the gender identity concept that somebody declares. “This is the next step in this war on gender.”
Washington Republican Rep. Graham Hunt has begun investigating these new regulations that were implemented in near secrecy.
“I’ve received emails from folks who have been abused and taken advantage of in intimate private settings because someone had access to a facility that they shouldn’t have,” Hunt said.
“I don’t believe that most people who are transgender are trying to gain access for the wrong reasons,” he added. “But what we have to be careful for and what we have to prepare for are those who are going to take advantage of these rules.”
It very well may be that the delusional find themselves uncomfortable in locker room settings and would prefer to “switch sides.” However, the solution cannot and should not be to “remedy” this discomfort by shifting it onto the rest of the 99% of the population.
At a time when we vigorously caution our society’s children about the dangers of strangers and perverts, it’s unbelievable that so many remain committed to offering perverts an open door to locker rooms and restrooms in the misguided quest for liberal interpretations of “tolerance.”
