If Congress Imposes An AR-Type Rifle Ban, States Should Refuse To Comply With It

Don’t dismiss the idea in the title as crazy. We already have precedent for this. “Sanctuary Cities” all over this nation are refusing to comply with Federal immigration laws. This abnegation has resulted in rapes, murders and other violent crimes due to illegal immigrants not being reported to ICE by cities with such policies.

Marijuana is still a controlled substance under Federal law and is illegal to possess. As we all know, many states have decriminalized possession, allowed possession and use for medical purposes or have legalized it for sale in stores to the public under certain regulations for recreational use.

The President himself overrules Federal laws in place regularly using his “pen” via executive actions.

So, with the instances above in mind, States, if a Congress of quislings passes an AR-Type rifle ban, should exert their sovereignty and refuse to comply with such an unconstitutional law.

The AR-Type rifle is now “America’s rifle”. It is not some rarely owned “weapon of war”. It is a COMMON rifle, no matter what the narrative of the media and press wants to pronounce. It is indeed, our 21st Century “musket”. It is estimated that well over 5 million Americans own this type of rifle. Other estimates place the number much higher.

The number one growing demographic for this weapon is women. If you think it’s going to be hard taking these guns away from men, try taking them away from these empowered women! Good luck with that.

The modular, infinitely flexible platform of the AR-15 used by civilians makes it almost a perfect firearm for all types of applications. It is available not only chambered for the .223 round but other rounds as well, including those as small as the .22LR, making it a great “varmint” rifle. It is lightweight, which is why it is popular for those who are smaller framed. It is comfortable to shoot and can be configured for minimal recoil, regardless of what New York Daily News reporters say.

I spoke to the owner of one of Washington States’ largest private gun stores. He stated that a Federal ban on AR-Type rifles would cause an atmosphere of unrest in the country that the Democrats have never experienced before. He was unequivocally serious. His store sells more AR-15’s than any other rifle by a huge margin. More than shotguns; more than long gun hunting rifles. After the shooting in Orlando, AR sales have skyrocketed. One store has sold 30,000 since the shooting unfolded.

The call from the Left to ban this rifle has never been as strong as it is today. The Left is unlike the Right in this country in regards to sheer determination. They are unrelenting. They will never stop in a quest once they have coalesced around one. Do not express shock if they convince enough Republican members of Congress to ban the AR rifle.

If so, States had better rise and form a coalition to ignore this unconstitutional measure.
