Badass Tea Party Congressman Compares Trump to Obama; Here’s Why…[VIDEO]

Barack Obama Donald Trump

Texas Congressman Louie Gohmert , who has been a thorn in the side of the GOP establishment since he was elected, told FOX Business’s Stuart Varney that Donald Trump uses the same kind of thuggish bully tactics mastered by leftist Barack Obama against Americans who disagree with him.

“This is where Trump shows, ‘Look, you disagree with me, I’ll sue you, I’ll come after your wife, I’ll come after your family, I’ll use the full force of the office, everything I have,'” Congressman Gohmert.

Gohmert asserted that in the same way Obama has used federal bureaucracies to attack his political opponents, bureaucracies like the all-powerful IRS, the tyrannical Karl Marx-inspired EPA, and the Department of InJustice, Trump would do precisely the same thing if elected.

“People have started realizing, ‘Holy cow, that’s what Obama’s done,'” Gohmert asserted.. “[It is] using the IRS, the EPA, the Justice Department, the full force of government,” he predicted.

In February, Trump promised to crack down on the First Amendment, threatening to open up libel laws if elected, in order to sue journalists who speak in a manner harmful to the bloviating billionaire and reality TV actor’s huge, yet fragile ego, a complete bastardization of the time-honored founding principle of freedom of the press, and a threat that sounded much more like a banana republic despot than an American presidential candidate.

Then, just days later, to prove that he didn’t misspeak, as he is prone to do, Trump doubled down on his anti-free speech rhetoric.

“Trump would be doing the very same thing [as Obama],” Gohmert continued. “He would use all of those going after those who disagree, and I think that’s starting to scare people. I think people need to be aware of what tactics Trump’s using.”

Louie Gohmert, a favorite of the pro-liberty, pro-Constitution Tea Party movement, who has endorsed Ted Cruz , urged RINO Ohio Governor John Kasich to drop out of the race, calling the pro-amnesty, pro-Common Core, pro-Obamacare big government Republican an “establishment guy, and that the establishment needs Kasich in the race to play spoiler.”

“Let’s face it, Kasich’s the establishment guy,” the outspoken congressman contended. “He’s been for Common Core — a lot of those things the establishment’s for — some form of amnesty. So the establishment needs him to stay,” he argued.

Gohmert acknowledged that some establishment types — like Lindsey Graham — have very begrudgingly endorsed anti-establishment Ted Cruz, but said they reluctantly have gotten somewhat behind Cruz knowing that Donald Trump would be very dangerous for both the country and the party.

In December, The Blaze founder Glenn Beck compared Trump’s attacking tactics to those of leftist icon Saul Alinsky, a mentor of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton’s. Beck said that Trump will “isolate” and “polarize” anyone who takes issue with him — tactics taught in the leftist playbook “Rules for Radicals.”
