One of the Democrat Party’s most devious strategies is the slimy tactic of what Rahm Emanuel said was never allowing a crisis to go to waste — using tragedy as a way to tug on people’s emotions in order to grow government and take individual freedoms away.
Well, they’re doing it again, this time using the horrific Islamic terrorist attack in Orlando this past weekend to attack the Second Amendment rights of Americans, and it’s disgusting and shameful.
Enter Tea Party badass, constitutional conservative Ted Cruz .
Cruz crushed Senate Democrats’ filibuster on Wednesday, a cry for more anti-Second Amendment rights legislation on the Senate floor, embarrassing the Democrats over their deplorable “political gamesmanship” and “political distraction,” trying to sweep Islamic terrorism under the rug in order to chip away at the Bill of Rights.
“Yesterday we saw a political show on the Senate floor,” Senator Cruz said about the Democrat filibuster on Wednesday.
“This is political distraction. This is political gamesmanship. And I think the American people find it ridiculous that in response to an ISIS terror attack the Democrats go on high dungeon that we’ve got to restrict the Second Amendment rights of law abiding citizens. This is not a gun control issue. This is a terrorism issue. And it is nothing less than political gamesmanship for them to try to shift for their favorite hobby-horse, of taking away the Bill of Rights from law-abiding citizens.”
Ted Cruz correctly noted that the Democrats filibustering on Wednesday, much like Obama, were more incensed that Americans have a constitutional right to keep and bear arms than they are at ISIS, the Islamic terrorist group who the Orlando terrorist, Omar Mateen, pledged allegiance to before slaughtering 49 people early Sunday morning.
Cruz said that sadly it was predictable how Democrats would respond to the terrorist attack — that they would try to disconnect the attack from being related in any way to radical Islamic terrorism — words they are unable to utter — and instead would use the tragedy to further their attack on constitutional rights.
