Ted Cruz BODYSLAMS Trump at GOP Debate for Bankrolling Pro-Amnesty Politicians

The gloves came off at the tenth GOP presidential debate on Thursday evening, and one of the most powerful and fiery attacks was constitutional conservative Ted Cruz highlighting Donald Trump’s very recent conversion to being an immigration hawk.

Cruz pointed out that when he was fighting amnesty and Marco Rubio’s “Gang of Eight” amnesty bill in 2013, Donald Trump was bankrolling the pro-amnesty politicians in the Gang of Eight.

After predicting that Trump would “cut deals” in Washington, rather that stand and fight for principles, Cruz gave Trump a verbal uppercut right where it hurts — on Trump’s signature issue — amnesty and illegal immigration.

“He [Donald Trump] has given hundreds of thousands of dollars to Democrats. Anyone who really cared about illegal immigration, wouldn’t be hiring illegal immigrants.

Anyone who really cared about illegal immigration, wouldn’t be funding Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi — wouldn’t be funding the Gang of Eight.

And he is right, when you stand up to Washington — when you honor the promise you made to the men and women who elected you and say ‘Enough with the corruption, enough with the cronyism, let’s actually stand with the working men and women of this country, Washington doesn’t like it.

And Donald, if you want to be liked in Washington, that’s not a good attribute for a president.”

On Thursday, before the debate, it was revealed that the bombastic billionaire and reality TV actor hired hundreds of foreign workers from Romania and other nations even though American workers were applying for the same positions.

This was an embarrassing revelation about Donald Trump’s business dealings that both Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz hammered him on during Thursday’s debate.
