Powerful and influential Congressman Steve King from the pivotal state of Iowa endorsed Ted Cruz for the presidency on Monday, with the Tea Party congressman saying that Cruz was an answer to his prayers.
In the video announcement of his endorsement of Ted Cruz, Steve King said that, “for almost a year now my regular prayer has been that God would raise up a leader who He will use to restore the soul of America.”
Rep. King’s endorsement is seen as a major coup for the Cruz campaign, and a setback for the other candidates vying for the evangelical and constitutional conservative wing of the GOP, like Dr. Ben Carson, Mike Huckabee, Rick Santorum and Bobby Jindal.
The Iowa Caucus is the first test of voter’s loyalties, and occurs on February 1st, less than three months from now.
Congressman King (not to be confused with RINO Peter King), said that Cruz has stood by his side during every fight against the establishment in both parties and that Cruz will stick to the Constitution, support constitutionalist Supreme Court justices, secure the border, defeat Islamic jihad, and restore the rule of law.
“He’s an originalist when it comes to the Constitution. He’ll make the right appointments to all the federal courts — not just the Supreme Court.
Ted Cruz understands that we’ve got to secure our border and we’ve got to restore the rule of law. He understands that we need to defeat Islamic jihad, not must militarily, but the culture of it.”
Steve King explained that Ted Cruz will balance the budget and begin paying down the national debt, as well as work towards strengthening American families.
The endorsement received the attention of former Obama Regime operative David Axelrod, who said that the King endorsement could be enough to push Cruz over the top, both in Iowa and for the GOP nomination:

The latest Real Clear Politics average major polls shows Cruz in a statistical tie for third place in the still-crowded field in Iowa, behind Donald Trump and Ben Carson and one-half of one percent behind Marco Rubio.
While Congressman Steve King, like Ted Cruz, is despised by the elitist leftstream media, as well as the establishment in both parties, he is a favorite among grassroots conservatives, especially in Iowa.
King is also seen as one of the strongest proponents for securing the border and cracking down on illegal immigration, which may be seen as a blow to frontrunner Donald Trump, who has been very outspoken on the issue, as has Cruz.
