[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Ted Cruz, the first declared candidate for the 2016 presidential campaign, just launched his first campaign ad, and you can just see the anti-religious liberty crowd exploding their collective heads.
[/vc_column_text][banner300 banner=”5517620b381df”][vc_column_text]Cruz, a Tea Party favorite for his willingness to fight for the U.S. Constitution and take on the political establishments in both parties, begins his first ad boldly declaring his faith in Jesus Christ, coinciding with today being Good Friday.
“Were it not for the transformative love of Jesus Christ, I would’ve been raised by a single mom without my father in the house,” Cruz begins. “God’s blessing has been on America from the very beginning of this nation,” he declared, sounding Reaganesque.
Cruz’s campaign has been bolstered by a strong liftoff, raising an eye-popping $4 million during the first eight days of his campaign, with 95% of the contributions coming from donors contributing $100 or less, a sign of grassroots appeal.
“Over and over again, when we faced impossible odds, American people rose to the challenge,” Cruz continued. “This is our fight, and that is why I’m running for President of the United States,” he concluded.
Cruz announced this week that his first act as president would be to undo all of Barack Obama’s unconstitutional orders, and warned that Obama will be inflicting Americans with more regulatory abuse before 2016.
