Thanks, Hillary! Gun Sales Reach All-Time High

As President Obama and the rest of the gun-grabbing brigade assert that Americans wants more gun control laws, the fact is that Americans are buying guns in record numbers.

August saw a whopping 1.7 million background checks performed- an all-time high for that month since the creation of the background check system.

July saw 1.6 million- another all-time high for that month.

June saw 1.5 million- yet another all-time high for that month.

Each month, Americans are purchasing firearms at a feverish rate and the number only appears to be climbing.

The number of background checks performed indicates a minimum amount of gun sales. Many states still allow private sales that do not invite the government to monitor the constitutional right and some counties within states that ban private sales simply refuse to enforce the unconstitutional provision.

So, while 1.7 million Americans may have officially purchased a firearm, the number is likely quite a bit higher.

The trend is hardly surprising; with the left’s rhetoric becoming more and more heated concerning the Second Amendment, gun owners and concerned citizens are recognizing that our constitutional rights are only as strong as those who have sworn to uphold them.

In the case of President Obama, his lack of willingness to protect the Second Amendment has alarmed gun owners and gun sales have been hearty since the days of his candidacy in 2007.

With Hillary Clinton echoing these same anti-Constitution sentiments, many who might want a new gun in the near future have realized that that may not be an option if Hillary is elected. The natural choice is to scoop-up a firearm before further restrictions are imposed and the guns become unavailable or extremely costly.

More guns in the hands of responsible, law-abiding citizens is a terrific thing. Though police cannot be everywhere at once, a well-armed populace has consistently been revealed to be a terrific deterrent to crime.
