On Thursday evening, all seventeen GOP candidates debated on FOX News, broken down into two groups. The first seven presidential candidates were the “second-tier” candidates who were trending lower than the top ten in recent polls. The second debate featured those top ten candidates according to recent polling.
There was plenty of fireworks to go around, a lot of attention given to front-runner Donald Trump, and charges of bias against FOX’s Megyn Kelly and Chris Wallace for attacking the GOP candidates with an assault of “gotcha” questions, leaving many to compare the moderators to CNN leftist Candy Crowley’s infamous journalistic misconduct in the 2012 presidential debates between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney.
And while there were many statements and mix-ups between the candidates that gained attention, the closing statement from Carly Fiorina, the only female Republican in the race, was especially powerful, leaving many to believe she has earned the right to be moved up into the top-tier of candidates.
Fiorina, who rose from the position of a secretary to become the CEO of a major American corporation, crushed both corrupt, scandal-plagued liar Hillary Clinton and her party, the Democrat Party, in only 50 seconds flat, with eleven highlighted words below being particularly powerful:
“Hillary Clinton lies about Benghazi; she lies about emails; she is still defending Planned Parenthood, and she is still her party’s front-runner. 2016 is gonna be a fight between conservativism and a Democrat Party that is undermining the very character of this nation.”
“We need a nominee who is going to throw every punch, not pull punches and someone who cannot stumble before he even gets in the ring,” Fiorina continued. “I am not a member of the political class — I am a conservative. I can win this job — I can do this job. I need your help. I need your support. I will, with your help and support, lead the resurgence of this great nation,” she concluded.
