The Secret’s Out: Trump’s Next Plan of Attack Against Hillary

Whitewater. Have you heard of it? If not, then you will soon not only hear about it but learn about another aspect of the unscrupulous and unsavory past of Bill and Hillary Clinton.

How do you ask? Donald Trump has that lined up as his next focus of attack.

Whitewater is one of several scandals that should have brought the Clintons down throughout the past several decades. However, the couple, who are treated like untouchable royalty by the Democrat Party, once again evaded prosecution in both the criminal court and the court of public opinion.

If Donald Trump gets his way, that will change.

Whitewater refers to a scandal involving the Clintons’ real estate investment during the late 1970s through a company they formed called the Whitewater Development Corporation.

After Bill Clinton was elected president in 1992, the Justice Department and the U.S. Congress investigated various aspects of the Whitewater deal, including allegations that Clinton, as governor of Arkansas in the mid-1980s, used his influence to arrange a $300,000 loan to the Clintons’ partner in the deal.

Some Clinton associates were convicted for their roles in the matter. But the former first couple, who lost tens of thousands of dollars on the deal, was never prosecuted, despite the Justice Department having prepared several draft indictments of Hillary Clinton, which are the subject of an ongoing lawsuit seeking to compel their release.

POLITICO obtained an email sent by Michael Caputo, a Trump campaign advisor, to the Republican National Committee (RNC) requesting that they “work up information on HRC/Whitewater as soon as possible. This is for immediate use and for the afternoon talking points process.”

The Trump campaign did not intend for this next part of their strategy to be released to the public, thereby giving Hillary Clinton the opportunity to plan for a counterattack. The email was actually obtained by POLITICO due to another major error by the Trump campaign.

Trump spokesperson Hope Hicks was on the email sent by Michael Caputo to the RNC. When she attempted to respond to Caputo, she sent a reply instead to Marc Caputo, a POLITICO reporter who is not related to Michael Caputo of the Trump team.
