The Winner of the North Carolina GOP Primary has been Declared

The results are in for the North Carolina GOP Primary.

Bloviating billionaire and reality TV actor Donald Trump has been declared the winner, but by a much smaller margin that the most recent polls predicted.

The most recent Real Clear Politics average had Trump defeating constitutional conservative Ted Cruz by 12. 3- percent, 41.3-percent to 29-percent. Trump’s margin of victory was actually much smaller.

The final numbers out of North Carolina puts Trump in first place at 40.6-percent and Cruz in second with 36.7, a difference of only 3.9-percent.
