Prior to the tenth GOP Debate, many pundits said that Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio should form an alliance and go after Donald Trump. In watching the debate, one could opine that the two senators did just that.
While Rubio clowned Trump, mocking him and turning the robotic label that Chris Christie attempted to pin to Rubio onto Trump, Ted Cruz gave Trump a taste of what it would feel like to be deposed by him should Trump live up to his threat to sue Cruz over eligibility.
Cruz’s seeming interrogation of Trump led to Donald trapping himself and stepping into lie after lie. Rubio added to the carnage by making Trump look like a fool during the GOP Debate.
Cruz and Rubio, who have been friends during their time in the Senate despite the contentious battle between them at times during this presidential race, are rumored to have had a secret meeting earlier this week. While that was merely the speculation, one move between the two during the GOP Debate might add fuel to the fire regarding whether the two did plan to team up to attack Trump from different angles.
