Trey Gowdy has demonstrated his brilliant prosecutorial skills on many occasions during Congressional hearings. During this morning’s grilling of FBI Director James Comey, Gowdy did not disappoint.
You had the usual Democrat lackeys who carried Hillary’s water for her, defending her dangerous and grossly negligent handling of classified information to the point where you wonder how they weren’t struck by lightning right then and there. You had Republicans who asked softball questions, getting up a weak soapbox rather than making Comey explain how he could lay out a case on why Hillary should be indicted then decline to recommend indictment.
Then, you had Gowdy.
His questioning was what you would expect when a government official is pulled before Congress, hard-hitting and direct.
When Comey declined to recommend indictment of Clinton, he made sure to state that he didn’t believe it was her intention to violate the law, though intent is nowhere in the statute. He also substituted the words “recklessly careless” for “grossly negligent.” You see, the words “grossly negligent” is in the law and using those words then not recommending indictment would looked even worse for Comey.
WATCH Trey Gowdy as he absolutely obliterates Comey’s “lack of intent” argument and shows him how Hillary’s intent was actually solidly proven.
