Trump: My Tax Rate is ‘None of Your Business’

It has been a tradition for presidential candidates to release their tax returns for several decades, but Donald Trump has not done so as of yet and got quite testy when asked about it on Good Morning America with George Stephanopoulos this morning.

George Stephanopoulos: “What is your tax rate?”

Donald Trump: “It’s none of your business. You’ll see it when I release, but I fight very hard to pay as little tax as possible.”

Every presidential candidate since the 1970’s has disclosed their personal tax returns, but apparently Trump thinks he’s above it all.

Trump keeps using the excuse that he’s “under audit” and that somehow stops him from releasing the returns, a bogus claim, which Stephanopoulos pointed out — even Trump has previously turned over returns while under audit while seeking a casino license ten years ago. Perhaps, Trump believes that getting a casino license is more important than becoming president of the United States.
