I can’t tell you how many conversations I’ve had with fellow movement conservatives during the GOP primary that went something like this:
Friend: “Why isn’t the mainstream media vetting Donald Trump? Why are they going so easy on him, even promoting him?
Me: “They want Trump. He’s a New York liberal faking to be a Republican.”
Friend: “But they must have so much dirt on him, sleazy business dealings, etc.”
Me: “Just wait until the general election. It will all come out. Right now, they are just trying to give Trump the victory over Ted Cruz or any other conservative.
Enter CNN and this new scathing investigative piece on the scam known as Trump University. Yes, some of this came out in the primary, but the digging and level of resources put into the investigation have reached an entirely new level — and Donald Trump isn’t even the official GOP nominee yet.
Republican voters must now deal with the problem of choosing a corrupt, narcissistic con man, who will not only lose to the worst Democrat candidate in American history, but will taint their reputations for years to come.
