Let’s just say that veteran GOP media consultant Rick Wilson is still firmly in the #NeverTrump camp — heavy on the “never.”
Appearing on MSNBC with Chris Hayes on Friday, Wilson said that Donald Trump has a case of “political Tourettes” because of his unhinged and “indefensible” rants and tweets and those who continue to support him are going to have to own “every crazy word, every lunatic tweet, every racist statement out of this guy’s mouth” in the upcoming months leading up to the general election.
Rick Wilson’s brutal rant didn’t stop there. He referred to those jumping aboard the Trump Train out of fear of the smear merchant to prisoners of war who have “Stockholm Syndrome” and instead opined that Republicans should be “running for the hills.”
On Friday, Trump said that “Lyin’ Ted” Cruz is “no longer a liar” (in other words, Cruz never was a liar, but Trump knew his cultist followers would believe anything he says) and that he hoped to pin the moniker on Hillary Clinton now that Cruz has suspended his presidential campaign. This comes just days after Trump resurrected the smear against Ted Cruz .
