UPDATE Wednesday: Bill O’Reilly Officially Out at FOX News

FOX News icon Bill O’Reilly, a ratings superstar at the nation’s leading cable news network for two decades, is on vacation and rumors abound that he may not be coming back to host The O’Reilly Factor when he returns

Even the Wall Street Journal, which is owned by the same parent company as FOX News, reports that O’Reilly is on his way out following numerous sexual harassment allegations.

On Tuesday, Matt Drudge of the influential Drudge Report, who really doesn’t tweet very often but when he does the messages are impactful, tweeted on Tuesday that “O’Reilly has had [a] tremendous run,” that “very few in the [media] business get to decide when and how things end” and that “Media is [the] most brutal of all industries.”

Either Drudge knows something or just sees the writing on the wall. Bill O’Reilly is scheduled to return on April 24, just six days from now, so we shall very soon find out if the reports of his demise are accurate.
