It looks like New Hampshire isn’t just ‘not ready for Hillary,’ they outright don’t want her. The longtime frontrunner for the Democrat nomination for the 2016 presidential race is trailing avowed Socialist Bernie Sanders, who is running as a Democrat for the presidential race, 44 – 37.
In a Franklin Pierce/Boston Herald poll, 442 likely Democrat voters in New Hampshire were contacted. The poll was conducted via live phone call August 7 – 10 and has a margin of error of 4.7.
Although he has not yet declared his candidacy, Joe Biden received 9 percent support. The other Democrats in the presidential race, Martin O’Malley, Jim Webb, and Lincoln Chaffee, each polled at less than one-percent.
This is the second day in a row that the Clinton campaign has awakened to stunning news that demonstrates the trouble her campaign is in.
On Monday, it was revealed that Hillary Clinton is trailing four Republicans (Ben Carson, Marco Rubio, Mike Huckabee, and Scott Walker) in the key swing state of Iowa. Although the poll, by Public Policy Polling, showed her leading Jeb Bush, Donald Trump, and Rand Paul, it was only by nominal margins.
This seven-point lead by Sanders over Hillary marks a huge gain for the Socialist from Vermont. In the Franklin Pierce/Boston Herald poll conducted in March, Sanders trailed Hillary Clinton 44 – 8.
Another cause of concern for Hillary regarding this poll should be her favorability ratings. While 80-percent said they viewed Hillary favorably, on 38-percent had a ‘very favorable’ impression of her. Socialist Sanders, however, is viewed very favorably by more than half of those likely Democrat voters polled in New Hampshire.
One thing is certain, for Hillary Clinton recent news is devastating for her campaign.
