Senator Jeff Flake (RINO – AZ) spoke to a Scottsdale, Arizona mosque on Friday, shockingly praising Muslims for their adherence to “the American ideal and the constitutional tenet of freedom of religion” (Islam teaches no such thing, but whatever.).
“I am convinced that the overwhelming majority of Muslims in America, as well as those of Christian, Jewish, Hindu, Buddhism and other faiths and other traditions, hold to the American ideal and the Constitutional tenet of freedom of religion,” said Flake during his 10-minute address to Muslim worshipers at the Islamic Center of the Northeast Valley.
Jeff Flake, whose mentor is fellow unprincipled establishment RINO squish John McCain, sounded a bit like anti-free speech Obama attorney general, Loretta Lynch, who threatened to prosecute “anti-Muslim rhetoric,” which she amazingly sees as her “greatest fear.”
It goes without saying that it is probably no coincidence that Jeff Flake was one of the 10 Republicans who voted to confirm leftist Loretta Lynch, Eric Holder in a skirt.
The Arizona Republic reports that while Flake didn’t specifically mention Donald Trump’s plan to put a temporary halt on Muslim migration, but it was highly insinuated:
Decrying the ugly “rhetoric” coming from the presidential race, Sen. Jeff Flake on Friday delivered a powerful message of solidarity with the congregation of a north Scottsdale mosque.
“We are a better country than has been on display this week,” Flake, R-Ariz., told Muslim worshipers at the Islamic Center of the Northeast Valley.
“My hope and prayer today is that the isolated voices calling for division are overwhelmed by the chorus of voices, like those in this room today, calling for acceptance, for tolerance and inclusion,” he said.
“Early persecution drove Mohammed from Mecca to Medina,” Flake said, who claims to be a Mormon. “Early persecution drove the Mormons from Illinois to Utah. I have ancestors buried along that trail.”
One significant difference Flake failed to mention was that the overwhelming majority of terrorist acts around the world are committed by Muslims, not by Mormons, Baptists, or Nazarenes.

“I know at a time where there’s so much hostility and so much adversity, for Senator Flake to be here and to show solidarity and to speak to our community, it’s a really powerful moment — an uplifting moment,” said a grateful Yaser Ali, the religious director at the mosque.
