Uh Oh, Another Major Obamacare Promise Was Just Completely Broken

The federal government’s takeover of healthcare, the 2,700 page behemoth known as Obamacare, was shoved down Americans’ throats using a series of well-orchestrated lies from Democrats.

Lies such as, “If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor,” and “If you like your policy, you can keep your policy,” and “Obamacare will save families $2,500 per year,” were confidently spewed ad nauseam by political sociopaths like Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and their robotic minions. All were lies, and all were known lies at the time they were told, as was proven by the musings of leftist MIT professor Jonathan Gruber, who admitted that Americans needed to be lied to in order to get Obamacare passed (See: Grubergate). Millions of Americans lost their policies, their doctors, saw their premiums and out-of-pocket costs unnecessarily skyrocket because of Obamacare.

Another major promise from the Obama Regime and the Democrats was that Obamacare would lower the number of visits to emergency rooms, resulting in lower costs for everyone.

Obama himself made the claim on September 9, 2009, saying before Congress with his usual socialist rhetoric:

“If there are affordable options and people still don’t sign up for health insurance, it means we pay for these people’s expensive emergency room visits.  If some businesses don’t provide workers health care, it forces the rest of us to pick up the tab when their workers get sick and gives those businesses an unfair advantage over their competitors.”

It turns out that Obamacare has only exacerbated the problem of overuse of emergency rooms, rather than improve the situation, as was promised by Obama and the Democrats.

As the Washington Examiner  reported on Monday:

Too many Americans get care in emergency rooms instead of doctors offices — and expanded health coverage is making the problem worse rather than fixing it.

Three in four emergency room doctors said patient visits have increased since the Affordable Care Act’s requirement to have health insurance went into effect, in an email survey released Monday by the American College of Emergency Physicians.

That’s not the news some healthcare advocates had hoped for.

Another day, another broken promise revealed about Obamacare. There was no logical reason to pass it in the first place and Democrats knew it. But they chose to lie and scheme in order to give politicians and bureaucrats more power and control over the lives of everyday citizens.
