‘Unity’ Update: DC GOP Vice-Chair Resigns

Donald Trump upset

The vice chairman of the Washington, D.C., Republican Party and delegate to the just-ended GOP convention, has announced that he is resigning his position because of the party’s embrace of bloviating billionaire and reality TV actor Donald Trump.

“The RNC [Republican National Committee] has bungled this nomination process by having bad rules,” Gary Teal told the Daily Beast. “And now at this convention, they’ve sacrificed integrity in favor of unity,” Teal declared.

Teal told The Beast that he planned to vote for Libertarian Party nominee and former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson in November.

“If I’m not going to vote for the nominee, then I have to resign my position,” Teal said.

Donald Trump began Friday morning, after claiming party “unity” by sliming Ted Cruz again with tabloid trash conspiracy theories, just hours after the last night at the convention — a night ironically themed “Making America One Again.”

Hopefully, Trump won’t send one of his mob-like “Trump Train” goons to give Gary Teal a “message.” Say a prayer for Mr. Teal’s protection.
