[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]2016 presidential candidate Ted Cruz appeared on the FOX Business Network, assessing the aftermath of the vicious and tragic murder of a beautiful young woman from a violent foreign invader living in the “sanctuary city” of San Francisco.[/vc_column_text][banner300 banner=”5517620b381df”][vc_column_text]Last week, Kathryn Steinle, 32, was savagely gunned down for no apparent reason by an undocumented Democrat, an illegal alien named Juan Sanchez, who was living in the United States illegally. He had been deported five times by the Obama Regime, only to return across the porous, unsecured border.
Sanchez was being housed with taxpayer money in the leftist utopia of San Francisco, a sanctuary city which acts as a “haven for those here illegally.”
Ted Cruz is a senator from Texas, which also borders Mexico and faces a huge problem with illegal aliens. This problem, Cruz says, is “exacerbated” by sanctuary cities like San Francisco “that give blessings to criminal aliens.”
“As you know, I represent Texas. We have roughly 1,200 miles of border with Mexico. We deal with illegal immigration every day. We deal with the crime that flows from it.
And unfortunately, it’s exacerbated by, number one, by cities that are sanctuary cities that give blessings to criminal aliens, but number two, we deal with the Obama administration which consistently refuses to enforce the [immigration] laws.”
Cruz makes his second point by stating that in 2013, the Obama Regime released over 36,000 criminal aliens, including 116 with murder convictions.[/vc_column_text][banner300 banner=”553157113d3ff”][vc_column_text]”Sanctuary cities are wrong,” Cruz declared. “I’ve joined with my colleague, Senator Tom Cotton, in legislation that would bar any federal funds from going to a city that is trying to defy federal immigration laws,” Cruz explained.
Senator Cotton appeared on FOX News with Sean Hannity to discuss the sanctuary city legislation:

“It’s not just the cities that are defying the law — it’s the federal government,” Cruz asserted. “It doesn’t make sense for cities to be harboring violent criminals…And it doesn’t make sense for the federal government to be releasing violent criminals,” he proclaimed.
