When next November comes around and we are asked to vote for our next president, it is important to remember that this election will not represent a n option between two different candidates, but will offer an option between two diametrically-opposed directions in which we can take the country.
Either we will vote to try and save our nation or we will vote to surrender our nation to terrorism, to disastrous economics and radical social engineering and political correctness.
Whether they like it or not, the Democrats are stuck with Hillary Clinton. Bernie Sanders is a raving lunatic with the politics of Marx, the hair of Doc Brown and the leadership qualities of Shaggy from Scoobie Doo. She will receive the nomination and Americans will have to decide who is best equipped to help defeat the threat of terrorism and who will help right the ship nearly-capsized by Obama and his radical agenda.
To aid in that decision, it’s important to note Hillary’s stance on Muslims and the importation of tens-of-thousands of Muslim refugees from the country from which ISIS hails.
At a speech before the Council on Foreign Relations on Thursday, Hillary announced that Islam is “not our enemy” and that “Muslims are peaceful and tolerant people, and have nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism.”
Hillary Clinton ignorantly spewed: (Emphasis added)
The bottom line is that we are in a contest of ideas against an ideology of hate, and we have to win. Let’s be clear, though, Islam is not our adversary. Muslims are peaceful and tolerant people, and have nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism. The obsession in some quarters with a clash of civilization, or repeating the specific words radical Islamic terrorism isn’t just a distraction, it gives these criminals, these murderers more standing than they deserve. It actually plays into their hands by alienating partners we need by our side.
No- Muslims are not our enemies… except the ones that are (of which there are many).
No- Muslims have nothing whatsoever to do with terrorism… Except, of course, that many, many do.
Maybe someone mistakenly told Mrs. Clinton that that Thursday was “opposite day” or maybe she is truly that clueless about the dangers facing America.
We, as a nation, have no interest in eradicating Islamic beliefs; we simply wish to eradicate those who are willing to kill and maim in the pursuit of these beliefs.
We may not hate Muslims, but much of the Muslim world hates us and that must be considered when we discuss terrorism.
Liberal senses of “tolerance” have long been annoying and discriminatory but now we’ve reached a new stage of zealotry. An unwillingness to combat radical Islam is not just an annoyance, it’s a danger to millions of lives and to the survival of our nation.
