More than 2,000 voters were polled by Morning Consult regarding who they would like to see moderate the presidential debates. The results may cause great anger among those who voiced opposition to certain moderators during the GOP primary debates.
CNN’s Anderson Cooper leads the list of potential moderators that voters would like to see moderate the presidential debate between Donald Trump and his longtime friend, Hillary Clinton. One-third of those polled picked Anderson Cooper as their top choice.
In second place is FOX News’ Megyn Kelly, who came under misogynistic and vehement attacks by people who were not happy with some of the tough questions she asked Donald Trump during the first primary debate on FOX News. Kelly was the top choice for a quarter of those polled.
Rounding out the top four picks are FOX News’ Chris Wallace who received 22-percent of the vote and CNN’s Wolf Blitzer with 16-percent.
The poll was conducted between August 24 – 26. The first presidential debate is scheduled for September 26.
