Was Michelle Fields Kicked Off of FOX News’ ‘Cashin’ In’ Because of Trump?

Conservative commentator and former Breitbart political reporter Michelle Fields has been a regular on FOX News’ Cashin’ In with Eric Bolling for a long time. But, after she was accosted by Donald Trump’s thug campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski, that all changed.

According to a report by The Daily Beast, Fields received a phone call from the producer of Cashin’ In sometime after she went public with her story about what happened and filed a police report. She was told that her commentary would no longer be welcome on the show. The reported reason made it clear and confirms what many have suspected for months, and it’s linked directly to bloviating billionaire and reality TV actor Donald Trump.

The Daily Beast reports that Fields was kicked off of her weekly stint on the show because she is “no longer impartial to Trump.”

Fields was told that she’s off the show because she is no longer “impartial” to Trump and therefore cannot speak objectively on his candidacy so long as it’s in the news.

Initially, there was no comment when a request for a statement was made by The Daily Beast. However, after the article ran and was widely reported on by numerous sites, a statement was given to The Blaze by a FOX News spokesperson regarding what Bolling’s producer claimed has happened.

“There was never any discussion or directive to remove Michelle Fields from the program and certainly not by Eric Bolling,” the unnamed representative said. “The only recent conversation about her appearances on ‘Cashin In’ was with a show producer last night and they mutually agreed to take her role as a guest panelist on a week to week basis.”

How convenient.

The Daily Beast’s source said the call to Fields came after she filed her police report against Lewandowski, yet it is just a “mutual agreement to take her role as a guest panelist on a week to week basis” is just a coincidence?

Eric Bolling has described himself as a family friend of the Trumps for decades.

He also took the low Breitbart road after the accusation of Lewandowski manhandling Fields, leaving a bruise on her arm, by blaming the victim, thereby victimizing her again.

The only time Bolling publicly mentioned the incident, during a Friday segment of The Five, he offered rhetoric similar to that of Breitbart’s (a segment which a Fox spokesperson referred The Daily Beast to on Thursday).

“She is a very, very good friend,” he declared. “That said, I haven’t spoken to her, but I’ve seen the video. Michelle said she’s not sure who actually grabbed her and the Washington Post reporter’s the one who said it was [Corey],” he added, essentially blaming reporter Ben Terris rather than outright believing Fields’ account. “Calmer heads prevail for now,” he continued.

After he was shown tapes that showed Lewandowski grabbing Fields, he deflected and turned it on pro-Trump.

When confronted with the fact that tapes confirmed the campaign manager grabbed Bolling’s “friend,” the Fox host immediately deflected to how “pro-Trump supporters are being attacked by liberals.” And that was all.

Note that it was during this time that the Trump thuggery was put on full display as they attempted a character assassination of Fields.

One thing that we can take from this entire sordid event is when it comes to Bolling, Fields can think one thing…with friends like these, who needs enemies.
