Former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina, who rose to the top of the computer giant company after beginning her career as a secretary, made a case during what was dubbed as the “Happy Hour Debate” on Fox News as to why she is not a second tier candidate, but should be considered a viable candidate for the presidency. Her 2016 presidential campaign is the real deal.
Fiorina has time and again in interview after interview showed that she knows her stuff and can defend herself, her beliefs, and her policy positions even while the leftstream media attempts to trip her up. Even more notably, she has shown that she is not afraid to go after Hillary Clinton, calling her out for her corruption and lies.
Immediately after the early GOP debate on Fox news, Fiorina appeared on Hardball with Chris Matthews.
Matthews, as usual, attempted to bully Fiorina as he entered protectionist mode for Hillary Clinton by going after Fiorina for calling Hilary a liar.
The exchange is one of great beauty with Fiorina demonstrating why she deserves to be in this presidential race. It’s not because she’s a woman. (Unlike Hillary, she doesn’t lead with her gender as her greatest accomplishment.) It’s not simply because she was a successful CEO and understands more than most the way the economy really works.
It’s because she has executive experience, deep knowledge on a range of issues, and principles on which she stands which she can articulate well. After the debate, Fiorina was seen by many as the clear winner.
Watch Fiorina’s epic takedown of Chris Matthew’s. As his condescension drips, she powerfully puts him in his place.
