When someone runs for political office, especially the presidency, they typically have as part of their campaign structure shaking hands and kissing babies. When a supporter decides to take their baby to a political event, that person is no doubt a big fan of the candidate to commit to carrying their child in crowds and sometimes heat just to get a glimpse of or listen to their candidate of choice.
One woman in Ohio, however, learned the hard way that Donald Trump obviously believes that babies should be seen and not heard. When a woman’s child started crying, Trump had both of them tossed out of the room.
I kid you not.
We all know that Trump is not the typical politician or even person, but to have a supporter thrown out of the room because as he “jokingly” said, he doesn’t want to get upstaged by a baby is, well, baffling.
So, after a week of bringing negative attention to himself and his campaign by picking a fight with a Gold Star family, a family whose son was a war hero who saved the lives of those in his troop, Trump now shifts to kicking a baby out of the room.
The optics are not good.
