The Daily Mail reports that Anthony Weiner, the 51-year old estranged husband of Hillary Clinton’s top aide and confidante Huma Abedin, has entered a rehab facility for individuals with a sex addiction. Weiner, who resigned from Congress in disgrace after tweeting a lewd picture of his bulging crotch in May 2011, has had numerous instances of sex scandals since that day. Most recently, Weiner was caught sexting with a 15-year old girl sending her sexually explicit messages and pictures. Weiner was aware that the girl, at the time a high school sophomore, was underage.
This sexting scandal prompted an FBI investigation. After the FBI seized a computer from his home used by Weiner in his sexual predator antics, they discovered additional emails which may be relevant to the investigation of Emailgate, Hillary Clinton’s illegal use of a private, unsecured email server that was housed in someone’s bathroom.
Weiner has reportedly checked himself into a rehab facility for people with sex addictions. More specifically within this program, there is counseling for people addicted to cyber sex and exhibitionism. The program also addresses addictions to anonymous sex and porn.
This is Weiner’s second time to enter rehab for sex addiction. It is believed that the perverted sexual predator and former congressman entered rehab after being caught in the Twitter scandal, accidentally tweeting a lewd picture of himself while thinking it was a direct message.
At the time, Weiner denied sending the picture and claimed his account had been hacked. He later admitted to inappropriate online sexual relationships with numerous women. Huma stood by his side but his first stint in rehab obviously was not effective since he has had numerous other sexting and inappropriate online relationships with women since.
Another revelation that has come to light recently is that top Hillary aides knew as early as 2011 that Anthony Weiner was sexting an underage girl. Email communications received between campaign chair John Podesta, advisor Neera Tanden, and communications director Jennifer Palmieri show a string of communication between the three about Weiner’s inappropriate and sexual online communications with a 17-year old high school girl in June 2011.
The email detailed lurid claims of private messages to an underage girl being investigated by police – and was met with the response ‘oof’ by Podesta.
‘Police on Friday afternoon came to the home of a 17-year-old high school junior to ask her about direct online communications she has had with Rep. Anthony Weiner,’ email read, quoting a Fox News article from the same time.
‘Two officers from the New Castle County Police Department arrived at the girl’s home around 4:30 p.m. and asked to speak with the girl’s mother about the daughter’s contact with Weiner. Another officer appeared at the home a short time later.’
Palmieri forwarded the news article to Podesta and Tanden with the comment, ‘Oof’
Since the FBI has begun their reopened their investigation into Emailgate following the discovery of emails on the computer shared by Huma Abedin and Weiner, Abedin, who is typically always by Hillary’s side, has not been on the campaign trail.
