Establishment RINO presidential candidate John Kasich, who somehow thinks Jesus is a big government Republican who supports Obamacare, has been struggling mightily to gain traction in his 2016 presidential bid.
In the Real Clear Politics average of polls, the Ohio Governor is presently at 1.8%, tied for second to last place (now that George Pataki has finally dropped out) with Mike Huckabee, and ahead of Rick Santorum, who sits at only 0.6%.
The Kasich campaign must now be on its last breath as it has turned to an unlikely source for campaign funds, a billionaire who typically funds Democrats like Hillary Clinton, Barbara Boxer and Dianne Feinstein.
According to a fundraising invitation obtained by Politico, co-owner of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Ron Burkle, is scheduled to hold a fundraiser for John Kasich at the Soho House in Los Angeles on January 12.
The fact that that Burkle is a mega-donor, almost exclusively to Democrats (including giving $125,000 to the Senate Majority PAC, a Democrat super PAC), is raising eyebrows and charges of hypocrisy from some conservatives, including conservative pundit Erick Erickson.

Breitbart reports that Burkle has deep ties to the Clintons, including referring to him as one of Bill Clinton’s “bachelor buddies.”
Burkle has an interesting and eccentric lifestyle, an image that’s not very conducive to helping presidential candidates woo ordinary Americans into voting for them.
A 2008 profile of Bill Clinton in Vanity Fair Magazine by Todd Purdum detailed how Burkle’s private plane is referred to by his inner circle of aides as “Air F*ck One” because he frequently uses the plane for—well, you know what.
The Vanity Fair article questions whether the former president would be “consumed by his own worst self. Bill Clinton’s lavish and extravagant lifestyle was leaving “old friends and longtime aides” of the former president “wringing their hands” after Hillary Clinton had just lost the 2008 primary to Obama. But it also had some interesting and revealing details about Burkle in the piece.
The opening of the piece set the scene for a wedding Bill Clinton was attending.
“Also in attendance was Ron Burkle, the California supermarket billionaire and investor who is Clinton’s bachelor buddy, fund-raiser, and business partner,” Purdum wrote. “Burkle had come with an attractive blonde, described by a fellow guest as ‘not much older than 19, if she was that.’ Burkle’s usual means of transport is the custom-converted Boeing 757 that Clinton calls ‘Ron Air’ and that Burkle’s own circle of young aides privately refer to as ‘Air F*ck One.’”
Kasich, 63, has been busy attacking fellow establishment RINO Jeb Bush, 62, including a new ad painting Bush as old and outdated.
Jeb Bush is at 3% in the latest CNN/ORC poll.
