In the 1960s, blacks went through a lot of peril at the hands of Democrats who viewed them as being different, inferior, not worthy of even sharing the same water fountain or entering through the same door. These blacks wanted to do away with segregation. This was something completely rejected by the Democrats who are not only the party of Jim Crow laws and slavery, but they are also the party who founded the Ku Klux Klan, the KKK, who would lynch a black person just for the heck of it.
Blacks back in 1960s endured hoses being turned on them and dogs being sent out to attack them just for holding peaceful protests, refusing to leave from the seat of a diner or daring to do anything that white Democrats said they were not allowed to do. They wanted to be treated like people, equal and able to be anywhere and do anything that whites could do. They won, thanks to the help of Republicans.
Fast forward to Obama’s America in 2015 and 2015 — black college students and the Black Lives Matter militants are now demanding something quite different.
Black college students across the country have demanded that they be segregated from white peers, calling for “safe spaces” on campuses meant only for so-called students of color.
The requests for segregated spaces are found among some of the demand lists put forth by students who took part in protests this fall alleging their campuses are oppressive, discriminatory, and represent institutionalized racism.
The demands have been presented to campus administrators and are chronicled by TheDemands.org, a website run by a racial advocacy group called the Black Liberation Collective.
That’s right. Black students in colleges today want to do away with everything that those before them fought for. They are demanding to be segregated away from whites in their demand for “safe spaces.”
Martin Luther King, Jr. and Rosa Parks must be rolling around in their graves to see their work completely discarded by a new generation of blacks who are putting their own racism on full display by projected it on others, accusing whites of racism so deep that you can’t even see it….it’s a microagression.
Lord, help us.
