Will Rand Paul Continue to Endorse Mitch McConnell After He Lied to Him?

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]After today’s literal “Cruz Missile” on the Senate Floor where fellow senator and 2016 presidential candidate Ted Cruz gave several examples of Mitch McConnell outright lying to Republican senators’ faces, it will be interesting to see if Rand Paul continues his ardent support for his fellow Kentucky senator.

According to Cruz’s epic takedown of McConnell on the Senate floor on Friday morning, McConnell “looked me in the eye and looked 54 Republicans in the eye” and flat-out lied to them. One of those 54 includes Senator Rand Paul.[/vc_column_text][banner300 banner=”5517620b381df”][vc_column_text]Paul, like Cruz, is a favorite among many in the pro-liberty, pro-Constitution American Tea Party movement. He enthusiastically endorsed now Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell in his 2014 re-election campaign against Tea Party challenger Matt Bevin, leaving his supporters scratching their heads ever since.

Paul’s endorsement of McConnell was seen as a backroom deal, the kind of political deal-making that grassroots voters abhor, in which McConnell would endorse Paul’s presidential run (which he has, albeit quietly), if Paul would provide an early endorsement to McConnell’s 2014 re-election bid, an attempt to keep Tea Party candidates from launching a challenge (it didn’t).

As Cruz pointed out in his historic speech on the Senate floor today (you don’t get a sitting senator of the same party saying a colleague, let alone a leader, “lied” to him — that’s right, he used the almost always avoided “L” word), not only did McConnell lie to him, Rand Paul, and every other Republican senator, but Paul has endorsed a GOP leader who has passed the EXACT same sort of tyranny that would have occurred under the mafia-like Democrat Harry Reid.

This includes, but is not limited to, funding Obamacare, funding Obama’s illegal amnesty, funding evil Planned Parenthood, raising the debt ceiling, support for the crony, corporate welfare Export-Import Bank, and subversive support for the anti-American, anti-Israel Obama-Iran Nuke Deal, which paves the way for the Islamic radical terrorist supporting country to not only have a nuclear weapon, but to have their nuclear facilities protected from attack!

Can Rand Paul argue that his endorsement of Mitch McConnell is showing any dividends based on the above?

Meanwhile, the RINO establishment are already beginning to circle the wagons in defense of liar McConnell, with RINO Senator Orrin Hatch, apparently supporting McConnell’s lies by attacking Cruz’s speech.[/vc_column_text][banner300 banner=”553157113d3ff”][vc_column_text]”Keep in mind, he’s running for president,” Hatch said, while criticizing Cruz’s blowing the lid off of McConnell’s corruption and dirty dealings. “I think it’s wrong to disclose private information, especially when the disclosure is not accurate.”

Will the supposed anti-establishment Rand Paul have the courage and principle to stand with Ted Cruz for exposing RINO Mitch “Establishment” McConnell’s lies, deceit and trickery? Will he have the guts to denounce his prior endorsement of McConnell as a naive mistake that has caused harm?

Silence is complicity.
