Would Donald Trump Shut Down the Gov’t to Defund Planned Butcherhood; Obamacare?

Real estate magnate and 2016 Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump told “The Hugh Hewitt Show” on Monday night that he would support a government shutdown in September in order to defund both Planned Parenthood and Obamacare.

Planned “Butcherhood” has been under fire the past few weeks after a series of undercover investigative videos exposed the organization’s barbaric practice of murdering babies and selling their body parts for financial gain.

After Trump called the information revealed on the videos “disgraceful,” he brought up the last government “shutdown” (roughly 80% of the government continues to operate during a government shutdown), led by fellow presidential candidate Ted Cruz in 2013 in a principled attempt to defund Obamacare. Trump pointed out that Republican Party leadership left Cruz out to dry.

“I was also in support if the Republicans stuck together you could have done it with Obamacare also, but the Republicans decided not to stick together and they left a few people out there like Ted Cruz,” Trump told Hewitt. “You know, they left a lot of the people that really went in and wanted to do the job. And you know what? If they had stuck together they would have won that battle,” Trump said.

Despite all the gnashing of teeth and hand-wringing from cowardly RINO leadership like Mitch McConnell and John Boehner who incorrectly predicted that the Cruz-led fight to defund Obamacare and the partial government shutdown would hurt Republicans in the 2014 midterm elections, the GOP won historic victories resulting in majorities in both the House and Senate.

On Tuesday, the Center for Medical Progress released the fifth video exposing Planned Parenthood. At one point in the new video, staff are showing off the body of a 20-week old twin baby aborted and sold for parts.

Republican leadership has all but given up their constitutional “power of the purse” to the Obama Regime, despite their majorities, funding highly unpopular items like Obamacare and Obama’s illegal amnesty for foreign invaders.
